We bring people together
To learn, collaborate and become involved in the future of their home, their city, their state.
The Public Policy and Education Fund of New York is a movement-builder and an incubator for ideas that drives transformational change and creates economic, racial, environmental, and social justice across New York.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a state filled with thriving communities driven by progressive values. It is a New York where ALL OF US — those upstate and downstate, of every race, gender, and background — can live with dignity, equity, and security… a New York where ALL people can prosper, and thrive. This bold vision is possible, but only if we work together.

Our Mission

Our mission is to work to make economic, racial, environmental, and social justice a reality by building bridges and laying the foundation to achieve lasting structural reforms. This is achieved by:

  • Centering Black and Brown, immigrant, and low income communities to create transformational change
  • Incubating impactful programs and developing the next generation of grassroots leadership
  • Identifying policy-based solutions through research and engaging communities to advance progressive policies
  • Convening people and partners to work in coalition within communities and across New York

Our Approach

We build power for grassroots movements through our family of progressive initiatives and mobilizing New Yorkers to take action and change the balance of power.
